“This place gave me high hopes but sadly did not pull through. This is a restaurant with a few market items for sale. Not an African market and restaurant. I went here looking for spices and new herbs to add to my cooking repertoire. I found new spices but things were not labeled and it was hard to tell what each item contained. The young lady that waited on me was kind but had some difficulty explaining to me what each item was used for. She was not prepared for a customer with such specific questions. The restaurant portion of the business was closed due to COVID-19 and this review does not include the restaurant experience.”

“Went to Snuggery for an early dinner and we sat outside. We truly enjoyed our dinners and the beautiful river view (Jack Daniels Burger, Avocado Chicken Sandwich, and the Fish & Chips). The fries were delicious as well, but their wine prices are a bit “pricey”. Since dinner was so good, we went back the following evening just for cocktails to sit outside around 9pm. The weather was beautiful…but OH MY GOSH. The mosquitoes were ferocious! I asked if they sprayed for them and the answer was no, thus we had to move inside. Then the kicker was leaving at 10pm in the dark to the parking lot. We waited at the crosswalk, it was clear and we proceeded across River Road. Out of NO WHERE this car FLEW THROUGH the crosswalk SUPER FAST causing 2 of us to RUN forward and one of us to run backwards. I screamed at the driver every expletive in the book, and then yelled back at the restaurant to FIX THIS PROBLEM! Now I know it is not the Snuggery’s fault for stupid @ss drivers, but they are responsible to get their patrons safely to the designated restaurant parking lot. There is a HUGE problem here. Snuggery...maybe you need a REFLECTIVE Crossing Guard with a neon reflective STOP sign like we all had in grade school…just something MORE than what you are providing right now BEFORE someone gets really hurt who can't run or move fast like we had to!”

Chips and salsa were on our table not even one minute later, and our large order was served within ten minutes of us arriving. I was raised in Texas and pretty much grew up living off of Mexican food, so I’m very particular about it. That said, this food was phenomenal, and AUTHENTIC.. which I feel like is so hard to find around here. I also ordered my boyfriend some food to go, and they waited until I was leaving to give it to me so it’d still be warm when I brought it to him at work (He loved it just as much as I did). Highly suggest this place for anyone looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food and great service. We will definitely be coming back! :)”

“5/5⭐s Lakehouse on Pistakee in Johnsburg Ordered the chicken satay special for a starter. It came served over an Asian slaw which I was hestitant about not being a slaw lover. The chicken was beautifully glazed with a teriyaki sauce and grilled to a moist perfection. The slaw reaped into the teriyaki glaze and I devoured every morsel. My entree was the Cajun chicken pasta which is always a Saturday special. It's coated in a delicious lightly spiced creamy cajun seasoned sauce accompanied by chopped green peppers, red peppers, onions, and grilled chicken. It comes with garlic bread that I requested cheese to be added. It's my go to favorite here every Saturday I can. All in all our 2nd home away from home includes delicious meals, amazing bartenders/friends, and good company that makes it feel like a Cheers episode every time. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good food and good people. Come for the food, stay for the drinks, and get ready to make new friends.”

“This is a nice, family orientated place to take the kids or to take in some live music. We went there twice in one weekend while camping, once to eat- then for the music. The sound stage is AWESOME! Folks, he is paying big money for this live music EVERY WEEKEND- and TWICE a weekend! Think of it as a cross between Western and rockabilly. I get it the wait staff may have some flaws, but I know Onesti will make it right! The food is great, regardless of the service needing improvement.... I would definitely come again on a weekend for a dinner and a show! Great, great, great 50-60's bands that are well locally known are worth it. Definitely support locat!”

“My favorite Orchard for apple picking, I’ve been going there for years now and every year is lots of fun, we always get delicious apples, mini donuts and have a great time, my family loves it as much as I do. This year I waited until the granny smith apples were ready to be picked, it was worth the wait. They have a nice playground for kids, petting zoo, train, corn maze, pumpkins, delicious food, clean toilets and service excellent.”

“I picked up two pizzas last night. They were delicious - great crust and just the right balance of cheese and sauce. Their pizza is "New Jersey style" which is a thin crust, not crispy, not New York, but it is intended to be folded. They are just getting started out of Ira's Bagels location (Ira's has the best bagels to be found in the area). They are easing into the business and currently have limited hours. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When I was there I also picked up a half dozen excellent "8 hour old" bagels for $3!. I intended to take a picture of the pies, but they mysteriously disappeared!?!?!”
