The food here is great. This is my second Dave's experience. They previously catered an event at my workplace and I remember being really excited to eat here again.
It's not fancy, but a rib joint shouldn't be. The menu was several pages and a little intimidating. I don't think the selection is too large but it was confusingly laid out. Each table was set with a roll of paper towels and 6 pack of variety house barbeque sauces. I thought that was fabulous for the food at hand.
The meat was juicy, tender, and fell right off the bone. My only complaint is that the sides were not very hot. It made me think our food had been sitting, not under a heat lamp for a bit. We were a big party tho.
We had a family birthday here and they go all out. We brought in our own Cale, and the birthday person got a special house slice with singing waitstaff and a crazy Roman candle.
Super fun and relaxed. Spendier than usual for me but very fair prices. Tried some of everyone's and lived the generous portions.
Very delicious buffet! Waitress very good. Had a nice Mothers Day!
The service was wonderful and fast. Waitress was great even though she was rushed. The food was not so great. We ordered the sampler platter and almost everything on it was way to spicy for me. I drank A LOT of water since my mouth was on fire from the spices. The onion rings, called stringers, were delicious though. I could eat a whole platter of them but would not be able to eat any other food. If you like spicy, go. Otherwise, just eat the stringers.. lol.
I cannot day enough great things about this BBQ joint. You will get famous customer service at the one at Grand Prairie in Peoria Illinois. The staff will always go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. The BBQ is wonderful. I get the Georgia style. The chicken is also great. The cornbread is a sweet cornbread that is made perfect. Let’s not even start talking about the bread pudding. I’m getting hungry!
