Duke’s Drive In Mokena

Great place for car shows, although it gets crowded! Food, in my opinion, has gotten better than it was when they were in Burbank. The food comes in good-sized portions, and it comes quickly and correct. Happy to see Dukes open and doing well again, although I'd live to see them in a stand alone location in the future...hopefully!

Dukes moved from Bridgeview to Mokena. Myself and numerous other people liked Dukes, we were sorry to see them go. When I first saw the Mokena, I was not impressed, it was a gas station. Then after going inside I was plesently surprised! The inside of the building was large. They had all of the typical snacks that gas stations have. The middle there were numerous tables. The dinning area was clean and neet. It's been awhile since I had their Itakian Beef. I love Italian beef sandwiches. Dukes has the best Italian beef beyond any doubt! Even the fries are better than any others! I quickly realized what I was missing after they left.

Grilled chicken sandwich is very well seasoned. Beef sandwich is a hit or miss with the seasoning. But when it is seasoned it's delicious. Fries could use a dash more salt. Parking lot entrance and exit is backwards. Just wish they weren't so far. But glad they are back!!!

Came back to Duke’s roughly a year after it opened to give it another shot. The food seems completely different, in a much better way! The beef has flavor and the fries were hot, with a crunchy outside and a soft inside. My kids and I have returned an additional 4 times in the last two weeks.

Duke’s was one of my favorite jobs in high school and I remember it being a lot better. Fries felt like they were old and warm, absolutely no salt on them. Ordered a beef w/ moz dry and got it wet. Maybe it’s cause the place just opened up a few days ago and they don’t have everything down yet.. Not sure but I’ll give it another try a few weeks from now.

Giving food five stars and the place 3 stars. Being inside a gas station leaves something to be desired but the food was great. Italian beef sandwich was very good and loaded! Had heard they were voted best beef sandwich and didn't disappoint. Shakes are good but not as thick as I like.
