Great experience. Did the Hibachi side and enjoy the food. Would definitely come back again. Make sure to make reservations! This place does get busy around dinner time.

Always great food. Great show. Love watching the whining customers on a Friday night without reservations with an odd sized party demanding a table. Comedy, a show, and great food. Get reservations on busy nights and avoid being the center of comedy.

The sushi is always fresh and good. First time having the dessert and that was the best cake I have ever had and i really do not enjoy eating cakes. Not too sweet just perfect.

This restaurant is pretty busy on a Saturday night so reservations are recommend. Food is very tasty. There were 13 of us so we had a good variety of food. Everyone enjoyed it. The chef was awesome and kept us laughing. I would recommend this for any occasion.

We were here with a group of 8, and the food was far less expensive than expected, and the sushi was really great. The hibachi grill food was also quite good. The only downsides are that the tables are very long and wide, so you can't really converse with the people in your group. The tables are also pretty close together and we were between 3 birthday parties - some with children, so it was too noisy to really talk. For the food, as we said, the sushi is served in large portions and is generally very tasty. We tried about 5 different sushi plates, and all were great. Note, however, that if you like spicy, these actually aren't. We aren't sushi experts, but we really enjoyed it. When ordering your hibachi dinner, add the "upgrade" which, for $2.50 more, give you soup AND salad, ice cream, and a few other things. Well worth it. At the end, we were super surprised that - even with 5 sushi dishes, some sakes and Japanese beers, and 8 hibachi meals, the bill was just slightly over $200. We have eaten several times before at Ron of Japan north of Chicago, and JMK Nippon is about 1/3 of the price, and the sushi is better. However, we miss the egg sauce, and the ambiance isn't quite as good. Still, if you are in Rockford, this is a great experience and well worth a try.
