This is just the loveliest spot, right on the river in Jeffersonville, in an old historic home with a great patio out front! Great food, atmosphere, and service, plus a good drink menu. We love this place for lunch, groups, or a nice romantic date night!
I made the mistake of ordering the Burger. It was burnt with a Fancy bun. I thought about sending it back but you know how long that takes. The server never asked me how I wanted it cooked.... maybe Burnt is the default. Daughters burger was burnt too....$16 bucks for a burger and fries. I could have gone to 21 C and got a Buffalo burger for that. My wife had the Braised short ribs. She loved it. The chocolate moose desert was good, building and location was great.
This restaurant lives in a quaint antique home, with indoor and outdoor seating on a sizable patio, overlooking the Ohio River. The food is extremely pleasing and somewhat diverse.
Cocktails and wine are available though I opted for coffee and cool water on my first visit. I had the Griddled Meatloaf, which I'm told is one of the more popular items. After eating it I can see why -- comfort food prepared and served with a little additional style.
Great atmosphere. It’s very warm, comfortable and homey feeling. Also this pace is off the riverfront so there is a great view of the Ohio River as well. Food is good! It is a little pricey, but for the abeyance and experience, I don’t think it’s too radical. The only other issue, was the choice range of non alcoholic beverages. Unless you want water there is only a choice of four sodas or unsweetened tea.
Went because of a recommendation from a coworker. I was not disappointed. The BlackBerry Gin Sling was amazing. We order several appetizers and loved them all. The goat cheese and hush puppies were some of the best I've had. I ordered the hot sauce marinated fried chicken. It had the perfect crisp to it and seasoned expertly. The kale that came with it was also perfect.
We ordered dessert and they were a bit disappointing. I would highly recommend this place, just go somewhere else for dessert.
