Love what they've done with the place. Plenty of options on tap, easy ordering at the bar, very pleasant to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the view. Delicious food, but the menu's a bit of a minefield for anyone with dietary restrictions.

I'd really like to see the menu marked with allergen and dietary restriction symbols. With sauces and sausages, it's always hard to tell if they're safe to eat for those requiring gluten free meals, and I was left scratching my head about wether I could eat the fries or not since they looked to have a coating of seasoning that might or might not include flour. I opted for the salad as that seemed the only safe option. As the salad appears to also be the only vegan option on the menu, I understand why it didn't have any cheese on it, though I thought it would have been improved by adding a little something extra like cheese to make it feel like a more filling meal and balance the flavors a bit better. Any bite without the dried fruit and/or a candied walnut in it was too sour.

The location is very convenient for anyone who wanna explore downtown Jeff with a beautiful view of river, their menu is great for families and also for groups. Very generous portions of sharable appetizers and good quality sausages. In general we enjoyed our visit and had a great experience. Definitely will be back with more friends. By the way their employees are very friendly and helpful

Excellent food with a phenomenal selection of German beers. We've had the Pretzel, Braunschweiger and schnitzel sandwich and all were delicious. Tried a couple sidewinder fries, they were tasty too.

The staff are super welcoming and happy offer guidance on beer (or wine) selection. They have enough options that you can find something pretty basic, or something that would any beer nerd happy. Not all are imports, they have a number of options from local or regional brewers doing German styles.

Community style seating upstairs and traditional dining on the first floor offers options for parties of different sizes. Great outdoor seating area too, with a nice view of the river.

Overall, truly a great place to relax and grab some food and drinks with friends, couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Having lived in Southern Indiana for quite a long while, and seeing the businesses that have come and gone, it is amazing to see what Joe has done with Common Haus and it is a breath of fresh air to the area. So much though and detail has gone into restoring the building and creating a unique, new gathering spot with amazing beer choices and food option. You have to try the schnitzel and I will never not get the Berliners for dessert!

    In a word: terrific!

I met my buddy at the Common Haus Hall for a couple of beers after work. The downstairs is a restaurant and upstairs is a German Bier Hall-style environment. We opted for upstairs.

We ordered a couple of excellent draft beers to start. Both beers were good pours and served in authentic bier hall glasses. We approved!

For round two, we repeated our original draft beers and added a pretzel with beer cheese and mustard. It arrived quickly. It's pretty big and exactly how you'd expect it to arrive at an authentic German bier hall garnished with baby pickles and shaved onions! We approved!

I was sorry that we didn't have enough time to order dinner as their menu looks outstanding. I'll definitely return to conduct a much deeper dive into the menu and beer list.

Common Haus Hall is the real deal. I suggest you check them out - you'll approve!
