“Just passing through an unfamiliar town around lunchtime, I stopped at Pappy’s on a whim. What a great surprise! Pappy’s gives you a no-frills, down home experience with delicious, authentic barbecue. The shredded chicken was smokey and moist, and the baked beans rich with lots of big bacon chunks. Cornbread is one of my must-haves, and I was excited to see their dessert options. Sadly, the brown sugar cornbread was a letdown for me. This dish would have been amazing with something like coffee cake crumble topping. But the mountain of pure brown sugar was just overpoweringly sweet — way too much! After I scraped off all the sugar, the cornbread itself was delicious. And the portion was very generous. The service was very friendly and fast. I was seated immediately and was in and out within less than an hour. Overall a great experience and I’d definitely return if I’m in the area again.”

Other friend asked for unsweetened tea and got sweet tea the first time. Got replaced with no issue. On the first refill she got sweet tea again. Again, replaced with no issue. Service was good, not the friendliest, but I understand they were quite busy. Dinged a star for the drink and food issues, but overall pretty good.”

“I love this pizza. Never any problem at the Brazil location except for this past Sunday. My boyfriend walked in ordered pizza. Was told it would be done in 10-15 minutes. Another couple came in after him and ordered. We sat in car. After 10 minutes my boyfriend went in. The girl called the name of the people that ordered after him and handed them their pizza and they left. Boyfriend waited. Another 10 minutes go by. I finally got out of the car and walked in knowing my boyfriend will probably just stand there all day instead of saying something. I asked the girl if our pizza was ready. She said she didn't know. I asked, "Well who does know?" She was counting down her drawer so i waited till she finished. She turned around, opened up the door on the pizza warmer and grabbed our pizza. It was sitting there the entire time. And no other customers had come in to order except that one couple so you would think she would remember him and figure out why he is standing there.”

“Usually they are quick and never mess up my order which I love. However, today I ordered delivery online and it said 25-35 minutes and would be here by 7:15. It’s been well over an hour now and the time is currently 7:43 and still not here. Called about 10 minutes ago and they said it was on its way and should be here any minute, but it’s still not and I live five minutes from the store. Worried because I ordered wings and fries which I’m afraid will be soggy but I suppose we’ll see whenever it finally gets here.”
