Applebee's Grill + Bar

After Easter Vigil Mass, I joined two of my brothers at the McGalliard Blvd location, and we had a BLAST! Just a couple of beers (Wee Mac!) and some Mozzarella sticks. But the service was excellent, perfect, really, and just added to the experience.

Very prompt service and good food. Our server was attentive and made sure we had refills. Food was just as expected, Great!

The food is usually okay. The service is hit or miss. If you're thinking carryout or heaven forbid delivery... Just reconsider. I did grub hub for a chicken club, side salad and french onion soup. The salad: I've been served more lettuce on a sandwich. The taste test of soup wasn't even full and the cheese wasn't carmelized. The saving grace was the sandwich. For over $20 I expected to be fed, not snacked like a preschooler. A sad showing.

I've only ever had a couple issues here, and both involved someone other than me. The food is decent, and compared to other Applebee's I have visited, it is much higher-quality. The staff is friendly and attentive, even at busier times. It's a cheap dining experience if you come at the right time and order the right stuff (like ordering during half-price apps.) I would encourage calling ahead for seating, however, as the waiting area gets very crowded very quickly.

I really like the new menu.
The food wasn’t all that, however, the manager came through and now, WOW! Steak perfect, the garlic green beans are crisp and not soggy.
Patrick’s hamburger ???? is cook well.
And the Blue Hawaiian Iced Tea is mmmmm yummy ????
