We've been watching reviews since the opening, as we live just a few minutes away. Came in for dinner tonight, restaurant is clean and neat and all the staff was very friendly.

I ordered the spare ribs with grits, and they graciously substituted brussel sprouts for the okra. Sprouts were very good, grits were really thick with a dry crust to them like they'd been on the plate awhile. While the meat was good, it did not appear to be spare ribs. It seemed it was chuck roast cooked in cubes both in taste and texture. I didn't get any stout or juniper flavor, unfortunately. The spare ribs are listed at $25, and aside from market price items, it's the priciest on the menu. Shocking if what I'm getting is a really cheap cut of meat.

Service was good aside from little things, crab cake tacos were a hit and the coconut rice was yummy.

We'll watch for menu updates, but I'm not sure we're itching to come back. ????

What a happy discovery! Very calming, hip, southern-like interior invites one to sit back and enjoy the experience. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. A great variety of options...we ended up w the salmon w/ black beans, rice and plantains, along w the Crab and Shrimp appetizer. Perfectly prepared and delicious! A good sized portion, we didn’t have room for dessert. This was sad since they looked amazing!

I've been twice in the last couple weeks and it was STELLAR both times. A cute little bungalow transformed into a bright restaurant that is somehow cozy without being dimly lit.
The wait staff and owner are friendly and talkative, attentive without hovering. The food was amazing. 2 words: CRAB STEW ????

Charleston style shrimp and grits ☑️
And the short ribs at the next table had me drooling!
Skip the Heath Cake, but the Hummingbird Cake and Key Lime Stacker are AMAZING.

Juniper on Main has quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots! The staff is always kind and welcoming. Food has always been delivered quickly despite the restaurant frequently being busy around noon. Everything on the menu is delicious!

Very good food, nice atmosphere. Easy parking is a bonus. The crab stew is small bits of crab, but a lot of them, with a rich and warm flavor. Very comforting. Both of us loved our taco choices which were the crab and the black eyed pea. It is fun to have something so different as an option in the area.
