It isn't fake trying to be nostalgic -- they are still doing it like this is the 50's. My wife had the tenderloin sandwich. It was HUGE! CRISPY, perfect. I had the San Francisco avocado toast. This was opposite the boring food I was expecting... (I'm trying to lose weight) it was delicious. The toast had a avocado spread with scrambled eggs an "fire roasted" tomatoes on top. I'll definitely be back. It also was very reasonably priced.”

“Food was pretty good. Did not care for the minestrone so much. Penne was pretty good. Kids enjoyed their meals. There was only one employee for the entire dining room, and counter for call-ins. It isn't her fault so I still tipped her well for managing things the best she could, but the restaurant needs to have more help there as there were many tables waiting a long time.”

Even if you don't like Mexican food-- but your family loves Mexican food-- you are still able to tag along and still eat there because of the few non Mexican meals. “My first visit to a Firehouse Sub shop. The sandwich was excellent. They delivered it to our table fairly quickly. The clerk was rather abrupt, and I would not characterize as friendly. She didn't seem happy to be at her job. She took our orders efficiently enough, but asked each of us if we wanted drinks and chips or just drinks. We both responded just drinks. She gave us different size cups, and of course, charged us appropriately. Be prepared, they will ask if you want to "Round up for public safety. " which means rounding your bill up to the next whole dollar as a donation, but they never tell you who actually gets the money from that donation. That was a bit irritating. I'll probably try Firehouse again, but I'll be specific about my drink size, and if asked to donate, I'll ask which organization will get my donation.”
