Howard thanks for your response, yes it was close and could have been a 5 if it wasn't for the wait of 5 minutes with nobody at the front counter and the pizza being 10 minutes later than promised. I would understand if it were a Friday or Saturday, but a Tuesday at 4:30... I drove from north side of Brownsburg and made it at the time quoted...just a little frustrated. I had good memories from when I lived in Avon and hadn't been in for years. The Howie Bread was as remembered.”

“We went to Emmy's on a Sunday, and the place was packed and patient patrons were even waiting outside for a table. Even though it was so busy, we received a table for 4 in roughly 10-15 minutes. Most of the food was great. The pancakes were thick and heavier, which I personally love, and they were cooked evenly without burning the outside. The eggs were average, but cooked well. The crepes were among the best crepes I have ever tried, and I will likely go back specifically for the crepes. However, if you like your Sunday morning steak and eggs like my wife and I do... try to find a better location for that. The steak is not a good cut and has plenty of gristle throughout, which made the steak hard to cut up on my plate. Also, the cooks don't seem too familiar with the differences between medium rare, medium, and medium well. We did have to ask for our steak to be redone because it came out much different than we ordered. All in all, this place was great, just don't venture here solely for the steak.”

“Small business, small staff, big experience. If you are expecting the i Hoping place with 25 servers and factory kitchen, go elsewhere. Here 3 or 4 people handle 20 tables. You may have to wait while the kitchen preps your meal, but you will not have to wonder what carton your eggs, pancakes or package your food came in. Cooked to order food with a home feel make this a place that feels like home. Several regulars love to welcome you. Come a few weeks at the same time and you get a cheers like feel of community. Servers will remember your kids, your orders, and your likes. Some reviewers who come in at the busiest time will see the staff get overwhelmed when the place is nearing capacity. This is not normal. We have been 20+ times on different days of the week and usually find no wait to a table, little wait for drinks and acceptable waits for food to be prepared.”

“This place has been around for as long as I remember. The service has always been the same...pretty mediocre at best. If they do get your order wrong they will correct it but don't expect attentive staff to cater to your every need. Over the years the place has gone downhill in terms of decor and now is generally looking pretty rundown. It's not a bad place to eat but is not my first choice. Given the competition in town it seems like the owner's would do a better job of taking care of the place and bringing back the charm that this place once had.”

“We visit this restaurant almost every week now. Our server Alex is excellent! We always have a great time eating and drinking here. The staff makes us feel like family. We enjoy talking with them all. The assistant manager Juan is very accommodating as well and always stops by our table to ensure we are enjoying our meal. The lady who drops off our chips is so hardworking and is always on top of her job. The day I found out I was pregnant our family visited this El Rodeo location and we have continued our visits weekly. I now bring my baby along with us and can’t wait until he’s old enough to know the place as well as us. I recommend this place to all our family and friends!”

And the vegetables, wow I could have made a meal on those alone. I highly recommend this restaurant. they even have a private room which we used to celebrate my niece's birthday. “I went on New Year's day. I was excited to see this place open at 0430 in the morning. The store was clean and smelled great. I was greeted by a very nice man who took my order and prepared everything for me so that I didn't have to do anything but eat. “Very pleasant waitress. Seating is comfortable. Good is tremendous. This is what a diner should be. This is the real deal. It isn't fake trying to be nostalgic -- they are still doing it like this is the 50's. My wife had the tenderloin sandwich. It was HUGE! CRISPY, perfect. I had the San Francisco avocado toast. This was opposite the boring food I was expecting... (I'm trying to lose weight) it was delicious. The toast had a avocado spread with scrambled eggs an "fire roasted" tomatoes on top. I'll definitely be back. It also was very reasonably priced.”
