Wooden Bear Brewing

We like this place as they are serving good quality food. The food is well cooked and well seasoned and it has interesting flavors. I think that it could be outstanding if they would add some heat to their wings to balance the sweetness in them. Same thing for the hen. It would feel more complete if the cook would add either tang or spice to the dish to make it more satisfying. It wouldn't take much to take the food to the next level. The french fries had a good flavor but a little too salty, and they would have been better if more crispy. We think that the container for the fries, aluminum bucket, probably contributed to steaming them and therefore softening them. We want this restaurant to succeed because we live in the neighborhood. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere is fine, but local artists paintings would make the place warmer and more inviting. We will go back and see how it evolves.

My wife and I decided to check this place out since it's new. Lindsay the bartender took care of us and did a magnificent job. Not only did we get fast and accurate service, our drinks were awesome, the food was amazing and she made our night so special. We really love how sweet and personable she is. Lindsay is one of the best bartenders I think I've ever been served by. It truly was a honor to enjoy such a beautiful evening with my wife at this new restaurant! Keep Lindsay up there at the bar! She's gonna bring in a ton of business!!

Great food and great service. Friendly staff and quick service. I was professed with professionalism by staff. The Karl Lambert character below made a scene right in front of us (for no reason). So do not take his review seriously. He was waiting, as we all were. Yet, he felt it was necessary to tell the hostess to "go f*** themselves". Let me tell you, that young hostess handled himself well. Remained respectful in a situation many would not. Mr. LAMBERT should be ashamed of himself for his actions. How rude.

I would highly recommend this establishment. Great beer and great food. I will be back!

Had a great dinner with friends, happened to be very busy at the time but Lindsay was quick to get us beers at the bar while we waited, and also took awesome care of us once we got our table. I was really impressed with how knowledgeable she was about the beers, she was able to answer all the questions we had and keep us laughing and smiling the whole night. Food and beer was so good! Great atmosphere. Highly recommend, five stars, any day!

Awesome and much needed addition to Franklin’s food and craft beer scene. Fantastic craft beer, with tons of rotational and seasonal brews to look forward to in the future. Current staff is great and seem very attentive and happy to help. The menu is creative and provides good variety with unique, fresh ingredients. The Firebird sandwich is a must for any first timers who love a little spice.
