We eat there regularly. Grew up eating Harold's growing up on the Southside. It was a very happy day when they put one in Dyer.
I visited this Harold's based on an article I read in Chicago Magazine. I ordered 24 pieces of chicken and while there was a snafu with what I ordered, the team resolved the issue seamlessly. I also ordered mild and hot sauce on the side. The chicken was good, crispy but not greasy. I wasn't happy that the 1/2 pints of hot and mild sauce were ice cold, which I didn't realize until it was time to pour the sauce on the chicken. This location is very clean and the ladies behind the counter were super nice. This isn't my favorite Harold's, but it's a viable option on my way home from work.
Clean restaurant and friendly customer service. Call your order in, as it's made to order.
The chicken was tasty, and the sides were hot, but the really great part is the sauce. The 'mild' sauce is slightly sweet, and not hot at all.
They have deals and specials every day, and do deliver through grub hub. It's a hopping place with a steady stream of customers.
Four stars cause I feel like the sides are slightly over priced. But the good food will get me to come back again.
The food is so good during the morning and afternoon but if you go at night people beside the counter just talk and not doing their job. When you do get your food it's not completely cooked. But if you go in the morning, afternoon you will be happy with your food. I will still give them all five stars. ????????????????????????????????????????
