OP Italian Indy

I’m so excited for what’s coming with the new OP Italian! I had enjoyed Osteria Pronto many times for dinner and their Sunday brunch. The new menu isn’t extensive, but they use high-quality local ingredients to create some unique and flavorful dishes that had just been lacking before. The gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream sauce was to die for! And the pizza has that perfect wood-fired flavor that feels so authentically Italian. The bar is welcome addition also. An old fashion is my go-to cocktail, and I love their twist on the classic that features walnut bitters and vanilla simple syrup. This reboot is really well done.

They have changed their menu and not for the better. Yes the food is still excellent. And the new bar is a great addition. However, the bread in the past was great. What is an Italian restaurant without complimentary bread? This is the flagship of the Marriott chain in Indy and the menu is limited. The past menu was more extensive and portions greater. Please return to what worked.

Too long of a wait, walk in and there are 10 available tables. Breakfast buffet was very diverse and the food was very good. Waited again for the check. It was a buffet they could leave the check after giving us orange juice. Will try again when back in town.

I visited for dinner recently and had their Spicy Italian Sausage Rigatoni which was very good. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Only down side was that bread does not come with the dish--garlic bread must be purchased separately--not good.

Great atmosphere. VERY friendly and attentive service without being overbearing. Much appreciated Cory!!! [edit] Obviously the food is great or I wouldn't have given 5 stars. The open kitchen is entertaining - you can see that the chiefs know what their doing and the entire staff takes pride in their work. Bravo!
