If there was a way to give this more than five stars I would! From Chicago and wanted to experience new food and culture and Gaucho delivered with my first taste of Brazilian food. It was so good I came back for round 2!!
Good food, but not Brazilian taste at all.
I did take the sandwich and it's a Mexican like sandwich, same for lemonade and Brazilian "pastel", the dough is ok, but not authentic.
If you're looking for an alternative food the restaurant is Ok, but NOT recommended if you're looking for an authentic Brazilian taste.
Gaucho’s Fire was our favorite place in the Garage Food Hall. The cheese breads are a perfect snack and the steak sandwich is one of the best I have ever had. The sauce and toppings don’t overpower the meat which has a great flavor.
The fries and sandwiches are good. Today I got the chicken nachos and they were stale and cold. The chicken was okay but the cheese sauce was just basic canned spicy cheese sauce
I’ve been to the Garage Food Hall a few times now and have tried other food stands, but was never particularly impressed. Today, Gaucho’s Fire really impressed me! I had the Brazilian Steak Sandwich and it was delicious! $14 for a sandwich and fries isn’t cheap, but compared to what some of the vendors in the Garage are selling, I think it’s a pretty good deal.
The only critique on the sandwich would be to toast the bun since the untoasted bun was the least impressive part of the sandwich. Regardless, I’ll definitely be back to try something else on the menu!!
