I have always enjoyed dining here. Great food, good price, wonderful selections to choose from and excellent service. I don't think it's ever go through the area without making a stop there. It really is a great example of a great family restaurant run by a family who clearly care about their business ????
The atmosphere was great, and the staff was friendly and didn't keep us waiting at all. The reasons I can't give 5 stars are that the new York strip steak I ordered medium rare was served lightly pink in the center. I did not complain because I'm not going to have them throw out a steak but I'm sure they would have made me another if I had. Also our dinner came with soup but the server forgot to bring it until after the main course came and it was too hot to eat right away. Finally, I ordered the raspberry iced tea and it had kind of a licorice/root beer flavor in it that I didn't like. I asked for water to replace it and they offered to take it off the bill and promptly brought me a water. I've had raspberry iced tea at many places and never experienced that so I had someone else try it to make sure it wasn't just me.
I've only come here once so this could be a fluke, aside from the steak. I recommend explaining how you want your steak instead of the standard rare/medium/well.
This is a nice family restaurant, yet there are quaint booths for romantic couples. The parking lot is free, handicap parking available and handicap accessible. There is a large menu, but they are priced just a little high. Restrooms are available. There is no delivery, but there is carryout. They have lots of incredible desserts!
A lovely lovely family dining experience. First you are treated to a step back in time as you enter. It is decorated as an old fashion ice cream parlor marble counters and bar stools. Their menu is extensive and food is good. Worth the drive from So. Bend. Try it. A little pricey but not bad.
