I love everything about this place. Nice casual atmosphere that you can actually have a conversation with your fellow diners. The service is friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The food is so good. Authentic Venezuelan cuisine and the best desserts in Bloomington. This place is the best kept secret in town. I 100% recommend you try this hidden gem. You will want to come back again and again.

I had the opportunity to enjoy brunch today at Maru's. this is a wonderful place served by the owner and her family. I am very happy to find authentic food from South America; with generous portions and quality products. I will definitely come back and try new things.

It was my first time trying a Venezuelan restaurant. I had ground beef + avocado + Venezuelan cheese Arepa and it was really good. Ham and cheese empanada was also great. I parked at the parking garage just across the street, and the parking was only 50 cents an hour.

Homey bakery that smells delicious the minute you open the door. Great sandwich selection both on fresh banquet and arepas. Pastries, cookies and cakes are all amazing. Will be continuing to satisfy my sweet tooth here.

This place has lots of potential, though they need to work on their kitchen logistics a bit as some of our food came right away and others came 30 minutes later. We also had to ask several times for the sauces and drinks that we ordered. But they were very nice and apologetic, and the food was fresh and tasty. I will definitely come back to try more things.
