Close to downtown and has excellent food. Not much atmosphere but when the food is this good that is ok. We ordered three different dishes and each was awesome. Get there early as there is not a big dining area and it filled quickly this Friday evening. Each time I visit I think they get better. I had an excellent soup (Red Lentil) and an amazing salad today. You need to give this place a try. Seriously.

My husband and I only recently found Sofra Cafe and it has become one of our top choices in Bloomington. They serve high-quality food; the owners are very friendly; the food tastes like home-made. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food.

With a warm and welcoming smile, the owner served hot food that was prepared seconds ago! It was a lovely experience and a perfectly curated snapshot of the world-known Turkish hospitality. Woman owned, good portion sizes, EXCELLENT vegetarian and vegan options. This is my first review and I would 100% recommend Sofra Café!

Everything was really great. It was all produced in a quick timely fashion. Our waitress was amazing. The appetizers were to dye first, the meat in our entrees was very tender, and everything was very flavorful. We ate all of everything put in front of us! Sadly to say there was no room for desert.???? But we will definitely be going back!

Sofra Cafe, without a doubt, ranks in the top five ethnic restaurants in Bloomington. Summarized briefly, the atmosphere was cozy, warm, and beautifully authentic; the food was delicious and delightfully-homemade; and the service provided was exceptional. I didn’t ask, but I really want to know the owners’ names (an amazing couple with passion for Turkish cuisine!). I sincerely enjoyed their laid-back, friendly approach to running the cafe.

I’m intentionally leaving out details, because everyone must check this out in person. Turkish fare is not done better anywhere else. Thank you so much, and I’ll be coming back much more!!!!
