Taqueria Acapulco

I'm originally from California and have been missing some authentic Mexican food in Bloomington and this place is it!! Jesús one of the servers is super nice and welcoming, helping my boyfriend and me pratice our Spanish when we come. The food is awesome and so is the jamaica! Give it a try, you won't regret it!

You’ll be dreaming about the Quesa Birria!!! The rice and beans remind me of my grandma’s… delic and comforting ♥️ and the horchata and hibiscus tea is divine! Love me some authentic Mexican food! The staff is very friendly and makes sure you leave happy!

Taqueria Acapulco is a great Mexican place on the square. They give you chips and salsa to start which were great. We were there for an early dinner on Saturday hoping to get the Birria, but they did not have it. We had the Tinga Quesadilla and the Enchiladas instead, both were good. The quesadilla is a great size for the price, and I enjoyed the cheese, lettuce, and tomato being on the top rather than inside. I had never had a fried quesadilla, but the crunch was nice. The enchiladas were also filled with chicken that was flavorful, but the sauce was a bit overpowering. It came with a very small side of rice which was seasoned well. I don’t think I’d get them again because they were expensive for what you get… overall the experience was good - friendly staff, lots of tables including outside seating, and good food.

Delicious, authentic Mexican food! I had a taco and a tamale, which were both unique, large, and tasty. This is my new favorite Mexican food in Bloomington.

My boyfriend and I were walking past and saw that they were finally open! We got chalupas and pescadillas! Both were packaged so nice and tasted great! The food was made super fast and the staff were so welcoming! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
