“I've never been to this bar until my friends and I were looking for a place close to my buddy's house. So we pulled into the lot and walked in. It's a nice little bar with a pool table dart board and of course a juke box. Super small and wasn't very busy which I was alright with. We hung out for quite a while and had our share of drinks. A nice little bar. The staff is friendly and polite and I would visit here again.”

“Didn't eat here-- as I'm not a student. I will say that on a walk through the grounds, I was very thirsty for a glass of water. I entered into this establishment, realized what it was and attempted to leave. One of the workers-- cleaning up after a rush of sorts-- yelled out to me and asked if I needed anything. I told them that I was just looking for a glass of water because I was so thirsty. They immediately got a cup of water for me. I'm honestly not sure how the food is, but I can say that the attitude was amazing, all things considered. They looked as if they just got through a large rush of students, and keeping your attitude positive throughout the day in a food serving establishment is hard. Also yes, for anyone reading this, the cafe is located on Wabash grounds. Just take a walk around, you'll find it. Edit** This happened a while ago; the name made me remember it. Probably around 2 years ago.”

“Alice's Restaurant is one of those rare places that makes you feel like mom and pop restaurants can be successful without having to adapt to modern standards. The place is clean and small, but with grit and character. It is one of those restaurants you go to every Saturday morning to puff a smoke, drink some coffee with biscuits and gravy, and talk to your friend of 40 years. Loved the service, the food, and the genuineness of this small town restaurant. I hope it stays here for the next 40 years!”

“We arrived 30 minutes before closing time but the staff was not upset about that.They made us fresh,hot food and even brought it to our table.When we asked for other items,they went and got them and also brought them to our table.They were working on cleaning so they could close but they allowed us to stay and finish our meals.Before they would put something away,they would ask if we needed any of the items.I went to ask for some to-go boxes and the worker was moping the floor behind the counter but he stopped and said Yes Ma'am but give me just a second I need to wash my hands because I've been cleaning.He then went and washed his hands(I could see him,so I know he really did)and then he came back and politely gave me to-go boxes.The staff was very polite and respectful.I know they were tired and ready to go home but once again they allowed us to stay and finish our meals.Thank you to the staff for great service,fresh and hot food and for being polite and letting us stay although they were closing.”
