A perfect little nook of a restaurant, tucked into the corner of an otherwise unsuspecting building. Very warm and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for social outings and meetings alike. I ordered the stacks burger, which was wonderful and unique, but the standout for me was the cookie skillet dessert. Very highly recommend. Overall a very pleasant experience and already planning my next visit!
My sister recently invited us to Stacks to celebrate her husband's birthday and I am so glad we went. It was a first for everyone in our group. It's gorgeous inside and the food was fantastic. Not too pricy either! I had a seafood risotto special that included scallops, fresh crab, shrimp, and plenty of lobster for just $24. We had a duck taco appetizer that also impressed. I would absolutely recommend reservations if you go. It was a full house and it seemed that was the usual there.
I always love coming here. It's such a cozy atmosphere. The alcoholic drink menu is large so there is plenty to choose from. Their draft beers change often so you'll always be able to try something new if you're into that.
In addition to their regular staple menu which is delicious, they have a different specials menu every week. I try to get there at least once a week to try what they have going on. It's definitely a great place to get together with friends.
They're pretty popular so I would recommend having a reservation.
My kids took me to Stacks to celebrate my Birthday. Our server. Mary was awesome. She was prompt, had a big smile, and checked in to see if we were in need of anything! The kitchen staff was on the ball too! The appetizers came out fast and hot and delicious.. Our entrees were cooked perfectly and they too were piping hot and melted in our mouths. The last time we were at Stacks (4 years ago) I wasn't impressed. Tonight I have changed my mind. This is a great eclectic restaurant.. If you go to Stacks. Go when they have chicken and waffles. It will definitely be a favorite of yours! Kudos Stacks!
As a book lover I definitely enjoy the environment. I recommend ALWAYS calling ahead & making a reservation. Walking in & requesting a table is a hit or miss. Usually a miss but, if you've got time to wait, you might be able to get a seat. I think they've done a great job with staff. For as long as I've been going, I can't say I've ever had a problem. Food has a lot of flavor. They do great with portions. My food has always been the right temperature. Drinks are good. Haven't ever had anything watered down. They do change their menu so, be aware that something you ordered a few weeks ago may not be there next time you go. Same for drinks. Last time I went it was $70 for 2 meals, 4 drinks, & dessert. So, if that gives you an idea of what you'll to spend, you're welcome.
