“This McDonald's used to be awful. Long wait times, careless staff. But something must have changed in the last year and a half, because I was really pleased with the quick service and the helpful staff the last couple of times I went there. They have a nice play place, although the tables for eating families are WAY too close together and if you sit at the only open table, the family next to you is likely to give you the stink eye even though that's entirely unreasonable of them. The downside to this McDonald's is that they have self-help kiosks and they REALLLY want you to use them. As a person who likes to limit my human interactions in a day, I LOVE the trend towards ordering kiosks. But, it is frustrating when the friend I'm meeting comes in juggling several kids and the employees are trying to push her to juggle the ordering kiosk as well. The kiosk is a hassle when you're trying to handle little ones, just let the woman order how she wants to order - at the counter, where the employees will punch in the order for her instead of making her do it for them while they stand watching over her shoulder. I'm taking a star off for that rubbish, but if my parent friends were doing the rating, I know they would take off more. Also, what it with the weird, caged, pogo stick contraption in your play place? A child is going to get seriously injured one of these days.”

“We went to Macadoo’s before a long road trip, there was nothing more satisfying than their yummy brunch! (The restaurant is easily accessible, 18 mins drive from South Bend.) We tried their daily special lemon meringue pancakes with sausages and eggs, Southern omelette with onion/sausages/cheese, and biscuits in sausage gravy. Oh and fruits on the side to maintain a healthy diet:) All the dishes were super tasty!!! and the price is more than reasonable, perfect value!! would love to return and highly recommend to anyone in that neighborhood.”

“The place is dated, but not in a bad way. It seemed to me to give it an authentic feel. The food is good. The bread and butter is good, but nothing to rave about. The salad is really good. I mean for a salad the just comes with the meal it's pretty hearty. The prices aren't bad $9-$20 range, depending on what you get. The food is enough and of good quality for that price range. We split a small entree for the kids, so if they have kids portions, I didn't see them on the menu. The waitress also didn't offer a kids version of the menu. The down side is that there isn't a place to wait. The wait staff was seasoned and attentive. The only issue we had was with some patrons. A smaller group occupied a large table for about an hour after paying the bill. Nothing the business can do about that, but it unfortunately tainted my view a bit towards the negative as a result.”

“We stopped in on a Saturday night about the time the partiers started filtering in. April, behind the counter was skillfully whipping up all those goodies on her griddle for everyone. I had possibly the best omelette I have ever had. Quickly prepared, there was a generous proportion of all the goodies within, as well as the hash browns and the toast and butter. Oh, and I got 2 meals out of it. I would highly recommend stopping in there if yer hungry for breakfast. Highly recommended.”

“Should have taken a pic of the GINOURMOUS onion rings. Been here several times over the last couple years. Long, narrow, Chicago old school place with lots of dark hardwood. Service is always good. I come here for steaks and. . . The Onion Rings of DOOM! Seriously, I don't know what I'm thinking when I get the rings as an app. I have two decades in the restaurant business in Dallas, Nashville TN, and Seattle Washington. I have been a private chef. Best onion rings on the planet.”

“The staff were nice and the band was awesome. Unfortunately, Mishawaka allows smoking, so that was awful to deal with. Due to a weather related problem, the ceiling fans weren't working. The bar could use a good cleaning but the atmosphere was fun. You can play board games, write on walls with chalk, all while enjoying a beverage. The staff were efficient with handling the bar crowd. Not their fault about the smoking. Sadly, too many young people inhaling carcinogens into their lungs. Other than that, it was a great time. The acoustic band (Loose Change) had a great set arrangement and kept the music going all night! Fun Saturday night!”
