“Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! It's my new all time favorite Chinese buffet. I believe it is under relatively new management, the same management that owns New China on Ireland road, my other favorite buffet. What I personally love about this place is the number of vegetable dishes that are offered: green beans, steamed cabbage, steamed bean sprouts and an offering of other steamed veggies mixed together. The only meat dish I tried was the fried chicken, and it was delicious. It's a busy place, a testament to the fresh quality of the food.”

“Very good food for the price! My "special dinner" came at less than $11 yet with 2 full dishes. A little salty for my taste, but their homemade salsa sauca and the nacho chicken appetizer was fantastic. Service was great as well. And very cute restaurant. “This place was clean, staff was pleasant and food was good. The lunch special has a good value when you upgrade to a blizzard. I didn't use their restroom but assumed it was clean and fully stocked. Make sure if you are dining in and don't want a milkshake that you ask them to make your frozen treat after the meal. If not they will make it first and have it melting and stick it into the freezer to refreeze it!”

“This McDonald's used to be awful. Long wait times, careless staff. But something must have changed in the last year and a half, because I was really pleased with the quick service and the helpful staff the last couple of times I went there. They have a nice play place, although the tables for eating families are WAY too close together and if you sit at the only open table, the family next to you is likely to give you the stink eye even though that's entirely unreasonable of them. The downside to this McDonald's is that they have self-help kiosks and they REALLLY want you to use them. As a person who likes to limit my human interactions in a day, I LOVE the trend towards ordering kiosks. But, it is frustrating when the friend I'm meeting comes in juggling several kids and the employees are trying to push her to juggle the ordering kiosk as well. The kiosk is a hassle when you're trying to handle little ones, just let the woman order how she wants to order - at the counter, where the employees will punch in the order for her instead of making her do it for them while they stand watching over her shoulder. I'm taking a star off for that rubbish, but if my parent friends were doing the rating, I know they would take off more. Also, what it with the weird, caged, pogo stick contraption in your play place? A child is going to get seriously injured one of these days.”

“We went to Macadoo’s before a long road trip, there was nothing more satisfying than their yummy brunch! (The restaurant is easily accessible, 18 mins drive from South Bend.) We tried their daily special lemon meringue pancakes with sausages and eggs, Southern omelette with onion/sausages/cheese, and biscuits in sausage gravy. Oh and fruits on the side to maintain a healthy diet:) All the dishes were super tasty!!! and the price is more than reasonable, perfect value!! would love to return and highly recommend to anyone in that neighborhood.”

“The place is dated, but not in a bad way. It seemed to me to give it an authentic feel. The food is good. The bread and butter is good, but nothing to rave about. The salad is really good. I mean for a salad the just comes with the meal it's pretty hearty. The prices aren't bad $9-$20 range, depending on what you get. The food is enough and of good quality for that price range. We split a small entree for the kids, so if they have kids portions, I didn't see them on the menu. The waitress also didn't offer a kids version of the menu. The down side is that there isn't a place to wait. The wait staff was seasoned and attentive. The only issue we had was with some patrons. A smaller group occupied a large table for about an hour after paying the bill. Nothing the business can do about that, but it unfortunately tainted my view a bit towards the negative as a result.”

Really only went for the bogo teacher special but it's across town for us so it's a treat being that we don't eat there often. “I’m here to say that Cheryl, a worker who was cleaning up around the eating area, was the nicest woman I have ever met working at a restaurant. She was such a kind lady. She was entertaining children that were eating and after we were done she took all of our trash for us! I wanted to give her a hug. After a stressful day the kind energy she was giving me and everyone there was just what I needed. She definitely needs a pay increase! The food was great. The line was super long but it went super quick. Also, our food was delivered to us at our table even during the chaos of lunch.”

“First time eating here. All I can say is wow. For a lot of different reasons. The prices are very reasonable. Got a lot of food for only $10 visited location on 3/25 around 3 PM. Hot dogs were on special for $1. The restaurant was clean and organized. The food is prepared fresh. Even made a special request my gyro and was fulfilled with no problem. Now, how was the food ? The gyro was NOT greasy which Is good because I have been to other places where the meat was just too greasy. All toppings on both my hot dog and gyro were fresh, onion, tomato , pickle, relish all were tasty and fresh. Fries were hot and crispy as well. I will definitely be returning here again. You’ve got my business. 5 stars.”

“My husband and I have never stayed at the hotel but have eaten at The Douglas Kitchen and Grill on several occasions. The place is always clean with friendly staff. $5 Burger nights on Tuesday's are fantastic! This is a full meal, people! We also tried breakfast which was wonderful. Yasmine, Desa, and Kristen will take good care of you. James will cook any order to perfection. The menu is very small but everything I have eaten at The Douglas was perfectly prepared. I live locally and have found a new go to restaurant. Go check it out, you will love it!”
