Teays River Brewing & Public House

Last night was the second time I've visited Teays River Brewing and the second trip definitely won me over.

My wife and I were able to enjoy the patio with our dog, and more than that I was able to enjoy a local brewed beer that didn't break the bank. The food was awesome, and we tried two of their delicious pizzas and an order of their version of poutine.

Service was excellent, especially considering that we sat outside.

Awesome 1st experience! Our service was perfection, so friendly and professional. The food was amazing, and the beer was yummy...I had an impossible burger, wow, so delicious, I was blown away!! My favorite part was the atmosphere, it is gorgeous! A lovely modern mix of hip colors and textures...nice work!! I will definitely be back!

I love this place. My wife and I are from West Michigan, and to get a comparable experience with food and beer of this quality back home, you'd spend $10-20 more, easily. In my opinion, they have the best beer of any of the Lafayette breweries, and they also have an extensive list of in-house cocktails, and a growing whiskey collection.
The menu is great, but really, the best things are almost always the specials, like the ribs or pastrami sandwich, for example. The food is typically pretty consistent, and at this point, I've tried almost everything on the menu.
Sometimes, service can be slow, particularly when they're very busy, but I've also noticed improvements there, with food not sitting in the window as long, and servers being more attentive and visible. There are a few servers I've had here who outperform service I've had at restaurants 2-3x as expensive.

Fantastic food, great beer, beautiful restaurant! My family met up with a group of friends yesterday for lunch and everything was great! I had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious! I'm a huge fan of Jason's beer and I have to say I wasn't disappointed with the Brown Ale! The service was wonderful, restaurant is clean and beautifully designed and my friends Jeff and Jason have outdone themselves! Very impressive! Can't wait to go back and try other food and beer!
