Cheddar's is one of our favorite places to eat. We took my mom there today for her birthday dinner. Our waitress was helpful, friendly and attentive. My mom ordered the country fried steak which came with two sides. She chose rice with broccoli and cheese and mashed potatoes. Her meal also came with a slice of Texas toast. Her serving of country fried steak was huge, way more than she could possibly eat in one sitting, but she enjoyed what she was able to eat.
My wife's choice was the "Better than your mom's meatloaf". Her two sides were carrots mash potatoes. She got two huge slices of meatloaf that came with a dipping sauce. I don't know if it was better than Mom's meatloaf, but it was pretty danged good. Her serving was also way more than she could possibly eat at one time.
I choose the Monte Cristo, which is ham, turkey and cheese dipped into a batter and deep fried and served with a raspberry dipping sauce. My meal also included an order of fries.
We all enjoyed what we selected to eat and thanks to the ample servings, had enough to put into take out boxes and will have enough leftovers for another meal.
If you haven't had the opportunity to dine at Cheddar's, I suggest that you give it a try. The food and service is good, it has a very peaceful decor and the prices are right in line for what you would expect to pay for a nice meal.
Great menu selection with affordable pricing. Attractive surroundings, attentive wait staff. Food is well seasoned and cooked properly.
The spouse had salmon. I had chicken pot pie with a salad. The chicken pot pie was great. Lots of meat, good gravy, and the pastry was very nice to dip into the pie. Salad was nice and crunchy with carrots. Spouse liked her salmon. Service was quick & friendly. Thanks!
If you are looking for great comfort food this is the place. I had the country fried chicken with the mashed potatoes and gravy. This also was complimented with some fresh corn off the cobb. Very good dinner with a very generous portion. Had a new waiter, but he did great. You will have my business again most certainly.
