Crossed-Eyed Cricket

Stopped by for lunch recently and it was simply delicious. Nearly all items are cooked from scratch and are mouthwatering. Tried their “fried cabbage” and it was crispy and flavorful. We also ordered chicken and dumplings; they were incredible. Large chunks of tender chicken with light, fluffy dumpling that had been rolled out earlier in the day. Lord willing, I plan to eat here many more times when in Evansville.

Menu very good selections, everything is 'homemade' and so delicious. Daily special are wonderful., be sure to try the wonderful pies and cakes. Breakfasts such a great way to start the day. Staff courteous and friendly, moderately priced. Definitely a great place to go with your friends.

You would expect the food to be as dingy as the building’s appearance, but boy would you be wrong. The food is amazing and the price can’t be beat. Pie Pan used to be this quality, but since the new ownership I’ve left unsatisfied every time.

I’ve known for years that this place supposedly had great breakfast, but I’d always had Pie Pan until recently. I will definitely be making Cross-Eyes Cricket my new breakfast and lunch spot! The prices can’t be beat, and the food is fresh with good portion sizes. Waitstaff is very nice as well!

Omg must go if you haven't been. Food is like going to grandmas house. Great service, portions, and price! Hard to say for most restaurants these days! Sorry I forgot to take pics. .will next time
