It was a Tuesday afternoon, my brother had won a gift card for Chalmer House. So we thought let's go. We were pleasantly surprised! First, they had live entertainment on Tuesday... wow, it was good! We both had Catfish Dinner which was excellent. The service was great even with a full house. We will be back... even without a gift card:)

Great spot, fantastic food, and a perfect small town atmosphere! I enjoy the personal service with a smile and a laugh even when it’s busy. Known to visit multiple times during the week or even day, enjoying their lunch specials and drink specials after work. The occasional live music is the cherry on top!

When the bar sold to new owners, we went there quite often and really enjoyed it. The last couple times the service was really slow, waiter helping out seemed confused and the service was terribly bad. They seemed to find time to stop and visit with their friends who came in and hand them their beers, yet our food and drink orders took over twenty minutes to get put in. The food was really good and prices are fair. They just need more staff who are qualified but these days that is hard to find.

A “hole-in-the-wall” in the best sense of the phrase!!! We had the catfish and a pork tenderloin and both were outstanding. Great draft beer selection. Adequate service. Good vibe detracted from a bit by the cases of beer stacked in the front… I’m glad we happened upon this bar, and we will definitely be back!
