Ching Dow Restaurant

Delicious. Our first time there. Little mom and pops restaurant. Food was super fresh and hardly any wait for it.

A hidden gem. It's been just off the square in Cenerville, Iowa for years. Great food. Comes out steaming hot. Friendly service.

I was here with two others we all got the dinner special, the other two entrees were good and not good (to my taste) but my entree tasted pretty good. The egg roll tasted great but the soup didn't taste that good. To add, the service was below average.
Conclusion: the food I had tasted good aside from the soup and the waiter was quiet and awkward.

This restaurant is an underrated gem in Centerville, IA. The dish names on the menu will be quite familiar, & your default beverages are water & tea (both good choices), though soda is by the can. Unfortunate for a thirsty drinker like me, but it's rather typical for a "Chinese restaurant" like this. Speaking of the menu though, the dishes I've tried are all quite delicious, and very well prepared. Easy to eat size pieces (an easily failed metric!), good sized portions, and overall a satisfying meal. I pass through the area occasionally, and always try to make sure I have at least one meal at Ching Dow while I'm in town.
