My grandfather took me here as a kid, and being from Iowa City I never thought I'd actually live in Burlington. The town is really progressing and I ended up buying a house in this beautiful gem of a town. Once I started coming back to Jerry's as an adult it's still the same as I remember. I love taking my kids here, and I love the interactions I have here with long-time locals and the staff.

It's funny, the biggest complaint I hear from people about this place is something akin to, "I can get that same food at home." Well, evidently these people have had the darn point sail right over their head. A great meal is supposed to make you feel like you're at home, and Jerry's has this in spades. The only time I've ever left here disappointed was because there was no room at the inn and had to eat elsewhere. Trust me, you are ALWAYS in the mood for Jerry's.

My advice is to try and avoid lunch time during the week due to its popularity with local workers. Also, GET. THE. SPECIAL. that day, and have a great piece of pie afterward. Jerry's Main Lunch is quintessential small town Iowa at its finest.

I love this place! It's a small diner with great comfort food (especially breakfast) that makes you feel like you're at home or you went back to grandma's. Did I tell you I love this place? Best coffee I've had in a while. Good prices. But you have to come at the right time to get a stool at the counter!
