Amazing! This is one of those places you want to come back to once a week due to the amazing food and classic Okoboji feels. The staff is like family and everyone is super accommodating. Pro tip: Teppanyaki is out is this world if you’re ever able to check it out (limited availability) Solid wine list and great cocktails also. Thanks for offering us such great food in such a small town!!!!

We came here for our anniversary dinner. I’ve spent most of my summers coming up to Okoboji. I knew this place existed but never tried it until now. Wish we would have gone to the Okoboji Store instead.

It took about 35 minutes to get our drink order and then ten-fifteen minutes for drinks to arrive. Appetizer arrived about half an hour later. Our entrees came out an hour later and they didn’t bring our salads out all. We had to ask for them twice. First time asked our server who apologized and said she would be right out with them. She walked back in the direction of the kitchen and came back about ten minutes later, hands empty, and went straight to another table, ignoring us. We had to ask the hostess for our salads and a refill. She brought us salads right away and towards the end of our entrees our server finally brought us salads.

The food was ok - it was obvious the potatoes au gratin were baked earlier in the day and reheated in the microwave which is a shame. The asparagus with the salmon was thin and bitter. Five sad tiny limp pieces and less than a spoonful of the dill cream sauce. Salmon was ok but nothing special. My boyfriend’s steak tasted like it was frozen and the inside was ice cold.

The owner Jen was extremely apologetic and took care of our entire meal, which was very nice of her. I had high hopes after reading the reviews but it did not meet expectations. Jen said they were short staffed and our server said they only had two servers on the floor. As a server I am sympathetic to the situation however I noticed a number of things our server could have done to improve her serving skills. When you’re in the weeds like that your hands should always be full running food and bussing. She was disorganized and her timing was bad.

Overall, there is room for improvement. Maybe we were there on an off night.

We are from Sioux Falls and Yesterdays was a very nice change of pace for us. I have to say this steak was among the best if not the best steak I have ever had at a restaurant. My wife had the scallop special and they were prepared perfectly as well. Amazing drinks, amazing service and romantic atmosphere. Perfect place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. So glad we chose this place among all the cool places to eat in town!

We were recommended yesterday's by a competitive restaurant. And they didnt steer us wrong. The lemon drop martini was SMOOTH. Escargot was so good. We genuinely enjoyed all the food. It's clearly a family run restaurant and it shows....in a good way.
