Country Cottage Cafe

Very nice Mom & Pop place to stop and have some home cooking. Was on my way home after buying a car in Decorah IA and just happen to see this place. My friend and I stopped in for a bite to eat. The waitress Becky was very friendly and welcoming. She provided some of the best customer service ever. The ambience was homely and very comfortable. The food smelled good and was hot. I had the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with garlic bread. Now that's home cooking!! My friend had the comfort food of a Pattie Melt on Texas Toast w/crinkly fries. I must say everything was delicious and I had some to take home. Stars across the board for Country Cottage Cafe! You cant be the prices here. This place got it going on! If you're passing through Olwein IA, stop and get your eat on here. They also have breakfast all day.
They were also Themed for Halloween!!

I like the food, it was cooked perfectly. The only issue was the portions that was given seemed smaller than other restaurants. The staff gave my daughter activities to keep her busy. The small atmosphere was inviting as well.

Good homestyle food, very nice staff. It's that small-town service that's getting more rare every day. Portions are good sized, prices are fair, and the coffee's hot. Skip the chain places and get some REAL food here!

Menu variety is good. They do their best to accommodate special requests. Our server has been there two years, but had never gotten a raise. Excellent server, so gave a great tip.
