Sushi House

Just left here and had a great meal. I used to frequent this spot in 2009-2010 and had to stop by. As one of my all time favorite casual Asian restaurants, I had expectations and wasn't let down. It honestly wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but far above average and exceptional for the area. I would say it's still better than any Asian restaurant (besides the now defunct Gary Chu's) in the North SF Bay Area; an area with far more restaurants,

Sushi Box... Actually a lot of food, I was surprised by. I don't know if it's customizable, but that would make this even better! The menu was a bit hard to read/understand compared to other sushi menus I've seen... It was good quality!

Delicious sushi. Restaurant was busy. We were still greeted promptly by a pleasant staff. From what a saw the restaurant was clean. Our drinks were kept refreshed and the food that was supposed to be warm was warm when it hit the table. They also have a wide variety of foods for anyone who doesn't care for sushi. It was a great experience all around.

Ate here last night had the best service I've had in Cedar Rapids in a long time!!! Tried the Boom Boom roll off the specials board and it was to die for!! As well as the cucumber salad! My friends had the mandarin stuffed eggplant and the crispy chicken! Everything was amazing. Can't wait till I come back to this amazing family ran local business!! We also enjoyed a New York roll and a Manhattan roll!

If you like quick and friendly service and consistently good food, this is the place for you. I have eaten at Sushi House many times over the years. The sushi is always good, and the Japanese and Chinese selections are very tasty as well. I can't say I have ever had a bad meal. The prices are very reasonable and usually the wait for a table isn't very long. We keep trying to be adventurous and try other places but none can match their speed and quality. The only thing I would say they could improve is to get a bigger and fancier place.
