Skillet Cafe' and Bakery

The atmosphere and service are very nice. I would visit again.

Their breakfast egg sandwich is more of a grilled cheese sandwich with eggs and meat and choice of bread. Ok for some, but the fact that it was grilled in butter and had bacon (not crispy), a fried egg, and melted cheese was just too “rich” for me.

The food was amazing!! Greeted by a younger girl which was not very friendly. Everyone one else seemed very nice.

The Skillet is a great little cafe that serves up delicious food in a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The staff is both kind and hard-working as they consistently turn out quality food to a constant stream of customers. It is our family's special treat to come down on mornings when we can and enjoy our favorites. From a tasty and hearty big breakfast, to the giant, beautiful cupcakes, we all always leave with happy tummies. They have a very broad menu, but we always stick with our favorites so we haven't even gotten to try it all yet. But we will enjoy trying.

I love restaurants like the Skillet! It was small, but big enough to host a large family breakfast! Everything was made beautifully to order! Kind staff! Very clean and bright restaurant!

Pros: Food was delicious and good sized portions. Nice place to visit from Anamosa. Cute decor. Cons: Took forever to be served despite only a few other tables there! Don't arrive too hungry.
