“I would ignore the 1st comment with the "no stars" just because a place closes early doesn't mean they deserve no stars. I wonder if that person even considered the fact that they are short staffed so that could be a reason why they have to close early and yea other places might have been open till close because they might have the staff for it. “First time guest. My opinion, chairs to hard. Very uncomfortable. Food was really good. For what i had. Will go back to experience more of the menu. Impressed on how many waiters and waitresses they had. Haven't seen that in awhile. A couple of negative comments. They had a water leak coming from under the bar area. Also I believe there was a glass broken inside the cooler. That holds the pint glasses. He had to throw glass away. He didn't know it broke at first and dipped broken glass into there 3 ring dipper. The Italian beef is great only thing missing is the giardinara which is chopped hot peppers with olives and carrots and spices in oil. People like me from Chicago knows well. No complaints. “If I had to choose between this place or the Broken Spoke on who has the best food in CR, it would be a close one! However, I will say, that NO place in CR has put as much effort into customer satisfaction as this place! I mean, this place is huge (the historic Village Bank & Trust building), their food is great, they offer probably the largest selection of beers in CR (25 beers on tap, plus another 200 beer selections), a dance floor, outside deck, comfortable booths, a sushi bar, and who knows what else! And their cheese soup is da bomb!”

“Good, local burger joint. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Place was clean but the bathroom needed a little attention. It's a "build your own" burger place. Personally I would prefer some base options that can be modified. I always seem to get overwhelmed with options and end up putting something together that doesn't quite work. As was my case here. All the ingredients were great though, so that was my bad. Would I go back, YES. Why only four stars? Some improvements and a little more thought with the menu would make this an awesome local stop.”

“This place is really unique and cool for Cedar Rapids but I feel like the owners opened it without really knowing how to run a restaurant. They didn’t even have a Google page set up yet and I had to do it. This place was apparently in the works for like 4 years but they couldn’t even have a drink menu ready upon opening. The drinks they do serve seems more like something you would find at a sports bar and not someplace upscale and nice. An orange wedge on the rim of a manhattan isn’t very classy. There is also another place in town called New Bohemia which is kind of confusing. The upstairs rooftop patio is very nice but there isn’t a bar up there and on a nice busy day it’s hard to get a drink downstairs. They could be making way more money if they had a bar upstairs and more staff. This place could really do well if put in the right hands and under the right management but can also see it not doing well because it’s such an odd space that hasn’t really seemed to find its grove yet. It’s for sure worth checking out and having your own opinion about.”
