Went out for lunch with my mom & her best friend.
For an appetizer we ordered the bruschetta, it was delicious, nice crisp bread and refreshing!
The garlic knots just kept coming, and we couldn’t stop eating them!
They both had salads with ranch and they said the ranch was creamy & delicious, I ordered Soup of the Day (recommended to me by our waitress) which was a creamy vegetable soup.. I finished the whole bowl which could’ve been a meal itself it was good sized portion and absolutely delicious!
For our entrees, my mom and I both ordered the Lobster Ravioli - WOW! It is a must try! I could’ve ate the sauce by itself, it was that good! The ravioli was cooked absolutely perfect. My moms friend ordered the Tortellini Michelangelo, which she said was also amazing!
As good as the food was, we had to take home leftovers! And we made a good attempt to eat it all! Wish we could have tried dessert because I’m sure it would’ve been just as amazing as the rest of our meal.
Not food related, the service was amazing and the owner even came and asked us about our experience. We will definitely be back, as this is a new favorite!
This was the first time at Portofino's but it definitely won't be the last! Everything was wonderful from the time we entered to the time we left. The garlic bread was the best I've ever tasted, the Italian dish was fantastic! The staff was very nice and efficient. It wasn't hard to give this place 5 stars!!!
I want to give this place a 2 star but I don’t want to ruin their google rating when they just open. I’ll probably give them another chance down the road.
But I went there last night (Friday evening) at about 5pm. The restaurant is socially distancing so it makes wait times a little longer. However. The restaurant seems to be prioritizing their to go food too much at the sacrifice of their customers that are dining in. We, and everyone in the restaurant, waited an hour to get our food. And our server informed me that my pizza was sitting in the window 20 minutes before we got our food, just sitting there and getting cold. My sister ordered the grilled chicken and it was very rubbery, probably from sitting in the window forever.
The kitchen needs to learn how to time the food so that everything for a table comes up at once and doesn’t sit in the window,
Also the restaurant needs to learn how to give to go orders longer wait times so they can prioritize their dining in customers. They also need to figure out a different system for paying because that is a mess. Not to mention the server we had doesn’t even know the menu so she wrote the wrong things on our ticket and we had to get them fixed. (I’ve served for years. You’re suppose to study your menu. We ordered the grilled chicken and she didn’t even know what it was. The place has been open for 3 weeks she should know by now)
This place has good potential as the pizza I can imagine would’ve tasted WAY better had it not sat in the window for 20 min, and their creamy pink sauce is delicious. They just need to figure out how to time things better in the kitchen or else it’s going to kill their entire restaurant.
My wife and I went there yesterday for supper and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. The menu has some great dishes, I tried the linguine with white clam sauce and it was delicious! The service was very attentive and friendly. Good job! We had to wait to be seated but well worth the wait. Finally!! a real Italian restaurant other than Olive Garden. Keep up the good job guys...we will see you soon again.
