We were in Des Moines for a soccer tournament and needed some lunch. This was the first non-fast food place to come up. Delicious! Everything was fresh and authentic. Steak tacos, enchiladas, and veggie tostadas....heavenly. The food was okay and definitely nothing to write home about. The reason to go back is for the raw oysters. I ordered the dozen and I was not disappointed. They were shucked correctly, big, and tasty. On top of that, they were reasonably priced at 13 bucks. I was amazed. Nothing fresh like one gets in FL., but I have had worse and paid more at "seafood" restaurants in IA. It comes with sliced limes - that's it.

Everything was very good. We had the chicken burrito and chicken flautas. The only negative is that the chicken in both food items was a bit dry. The flavor was spot on though.

We were craving a different version of Mexican food and the conversation turned to "let's find some place that isn't the tired old typical copy cat mega menu like most.
Don't let the parking lot and retail exterior steer you away...this place was great, cleaner than most and the staff is really friendly. The food was terrific and the menu had a lot of things on it that you wont find at most. Plus 3 different salsas with your chips for something different.
