Machine Shed Restaurant Urbandale

It was great! The food was amazing and the waiter was really nice! I used to come here when I was younger all the time and haven't been here since I was about 6 or 7. I was baffled by how they changed it and wish that it didn't look so new. The old design and the country/farm theme is what made it such a Comfortable place to be. I also noticed some tools on the wall had been removed and replaced with things like paintings, etc. What's up with that, Machine Shed?

Food for anyone who's hungry. A nice comfortable place to bring friends or relatives. Food is hot, savory, and plenty of it. My dad wanted to celebrate his 85th birthday here and we all had a great time! The fried catfish is my fave. Comfort food and cool gifts - to me that's a great combination!

This was our first time dining here and frankly my husband and I were a little disappointed. I had the salad bar and a cup of potato soup which was delicious. The salad bar lacked selection and offered only 2 choices for dressing. My husband had the buffet and his baked chicken was very dry. My sister ordered from the menu and enjoyed her meal, so perhaps we should try that the next time.

Food is amazing and service was great! I wish I had taken photos because describing the food isn't enough to represent it well. Gotta go there! We are a Dance Drill Team competing at a state event today so we had a long drive this morning. Our waitress was charming and everyone had their fill and was relaxed! Thanks again!

Google tells me I've been here 20 times. And it keeps on getting better every time. Great atmosphere, friendly service. If we have friends coming in from out of town I like to take them here to enjoy traditional Iowan cuisine. Highly recommend the fried chicken dinner and the pork chops. If you go for breakfast the cinnamon rolls are out of this world!
