Absolutely loved it. I've lived here my whole life, heard great things for years, planned to come many times but it never happened until tonight. Very glad I did, I will definitely be back and I will be sure to bring friends. The Platter was amazing, the empanadas were to die for, and the fried bananas dessert was incredible. Very respectable price for all the food.

If there was a complaint, I would say that the prices on the wine were "a bit off", to put it mildly. A bottle of Canyon Road White Zinfandel for $22? That's a miss for me. Mixed drinks were great though, and for a great price.

Decided to try this place and it was very good! Not busy and quiet. I got a chicken sand with fries. I like their fries better than McDonald's. Crispy outside and hot inside. I liked it!

I don't know what the people rating this place 1 or 2 stars are talking about. I have been going to this place for years now and I will continue to return because the food is great. My family even went here after my sister got married at the courthouse to celebrate! Order the empanadas, you won't regret it. And don't forget to ask for the home-made salsa!

This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Des Moines. I take almost every out of town guest here to eat. They have delicious food that’s well seasoned and extremely reasonably priced. If you’re looking for spice though, this is not the place for you. Usually, I’m all about spicy food and will load up any dish with as much hot sauce as I can handle. These dishes really don’t need it. They have a great flavor that stands on its own. The staff is just really, really friendly and the place is always clean. I’ve never had a disappointing meal at this restaurant. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

I have eaten my share of salads when dining out in this area as I am gluten free and have some additional food allergies. Not here! I was able to partake of several appetizers as well as entrees. The flan, at the end of our meal, was delicious. Spending my money locally is important to me and not getting sick when eating out is a big plus. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. We’ll go back!
