Excellent experience! Food was incredible, wait staff was incredible. Definitely plan to return.
Valley Junction, as the area is locally known, has been in need of a little uplift for some time. Now there is a modern little wine bar which is as much an evening destination, as a watering hole for shoppers. They offer a well selected wine list, local beers and tasty sandwiches. Friendly and attentive service. My only negative comment is that like any remodeled old brick built space, with no soft surfaces to dampen noise, the levels can be a bit overpowering when the place is busy.
Kind of a Cafe atmosphere, nice brick interior, great wine list, the tortilla soup was obviously scratch, very tasty. I had bruschetta, very good. My daughter had the pear gorgonzola salad, loved it. Menu seemed limited in small plates, really only one main entree option. But the food was top notch. Very cool neighbourhood
Stunning little spot my wife selected for a evening snack and a glass of red. The menu is simple, an undertone to the taste of the sandwiches we split. A wonderful personal experience! And the most reasonable prices! We’ll be back!
I absolutely love this place. I have had French Onion soup in France. The French Onion soup here beats any I have had and the chicken salad is amazing. Vino209 also sports a small bar which is perfect for me as I am single and eat alone often. When I eat at Vino209, the wait staff make me feel like a part of their family. That is important when you are single, like me.
Lovely setting. Friendly staff. The best!
Hey Kelly, you know me! I shall return. Had my favorite chicken salad sandwich. Vino209 is hands down one of Des Moines best secrets.
