The Urban Grill

We went here about 4 times before moving out of town.

Pros:
- Staff was very accomodating & polite each time.
- Delicious food at affordable prices.
- Fireplace dining room seating or casual/bar seating options.

Have a rough week? What a great place to go, enjoy a nice craft beer or glass of wine for $3, add a super tasty flat bread $6 - then enjoy fantastic Ahi Tuna salad....(for my wife) - I prefer the ribs or the pretzel crusted grouper. No worries - they have a very broad menu - sandwiches, salads, plus wide range of entrees. Something for everyone.

Wait staff professional, and extremely nice.
For the negative reviews - most of that comes from the fact that this place gets busy fast (cause it so good).

Only one visit, so far - I was visiting Des Moines for work - but I really enjoyed my dinner here.

Great service. My waiter was pleasant and really more of an adviser as we discussed the menu options, and the focus of The Urban Grill. He read me pretty well, in terms of when to ask me questions and offer me advice, and was not obtrusive.

The food was dynamite. Great combinations of flavors, textures, and quantities. I left satisfied - not stuffed, but not hungry ... though, perhaps already longing for my next visit.

I have traveled a fair amount, on both coasts and in between. The Urban Grill is on my Top 10 list of favorite places for dinner.

Its a warm welcoming environment. The service was great and the food was amazing! I sat by some regulars at the bar while waiting for a table and they have been going for years. I will definitely be going back myself.

We had the Prime Rib and Blackened Shrimp. We were not disappointed! Both were really good. We also tried a couple of the drink specialty's.
It was quite and dark, real laid back. Our server did an outstanding job. Their drinks are great too! We will be back!
