“Worth the time to drive across town. Super friendly cashier. Treated my 10 year olds as people, not children, and that made them super enjoy their experience. When you get the kids to Love a place you know they're doing very well.”

“The burger buns have too many sesame seeds and the lettuce they use is for a salad and NOT a burger. Their shakes are really good though and I'm glad this spot is on campus.”

Not only is the food and coffee really good, the atmosphere is wonderful! I have a new favorite place to go for coffee and homework! Would highly recommend to anyone!”

Village Inn

Address: 524 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50010, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“The girlfriend and I really enjoyed our breakfast here. The food was outstanding. We also really enjoyed the design and decor of the building. The old school diner vibe was relaxing. There is quite a large dining area, but it was packed to the point of a 20min wait to be seated. A testament to the quality of food. Our waitress was a little passive aggressive and didnt seem to know how to multitask. She seemed annoyed when we would ask for anything like drink refills, butter for our toast, syrup for our pancakes and especially when we wanted to order dessert pie. She was never rude but took her time fulfilling our requests. It was very busy that day so hopefully that was only reason she seemed agitated. I will definitely eat here again. Just hope for a different waitress.”

“I just tried Perkins for the first time and had a great experience. Like all Sunday mornings, there was a bit of a wait to be seated, but even though they were super busy, our waitress didn’t make us feel rushed. She was very nice and helpful. The food was really good, as well as affordable. I ordered the Twice As Nice (2 eggs, hash browns, & 3 pancakes). I will definitely be going back!”
