Had lunch from Funaro's today. The best egg salad sandwich in the state. The food has to be great because it was packed with customers. Every time I visit Indianola I make sure to stop at Funaros!! Vegetarian friendly!!!
The deli was recommended to me as a great place to get a sandwich, and as an infrequent visitor to Indianola, I had no experience so decided to try it. I noticed immediately that the turkey was real meat, not processed. You seldom see that anymore, so I got a turkey sandwich. The meat was delicious and the bread was really good. I was very impressed.
The atmosphere was cordial and friendly and relaxed. I was thanked at time of sale and also upon departure. I would definitely come back!!
The August sandwich of the month, is quite possibly the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Amazing balance between sweet and spicy. So delicious and reasonably priced. These guys know sandwiches...check em out!
I loved this place. The sandwiches are really well made. Great mom and pop shop. Just wish their hours went through to dinner.
Need some signage inside for out of town people to know where things are and how the order process flows. The potato salad was a little expensive as a side for the portion you receive. I ordered the chicken bacon wrap and received it promptly. The chicken was blah not the best tasting or textured meat I have eaten. The seating was good and there is a fair amount of seating. I’ll have to check out another option on the menu the next visit and update my post then.
