In my opinion, the best atmosphere of any restaurant in Lawrence. Great appetizers, great daily specials, love their sandwiches and fish & chips. Microbrews are solid and compliment meals nicely. Favorite spot for a lively meal experience and a couple drinks.

The service here was great. Our server was really attentive with our orders and the food came out really fast. The burger is really good. In my opinion, it's a bit smaller than an average restaurant burger, but the fries make up for it. I'm not one for beer, but from what my friends have said, the beer here is pretty good and some are more interesting than others.

Happy to find this old school brew pub in Lawrence, Kansas. If you have the chance to stop by, give yourself time to stroll the main drag to walk off the beers. Try the juniper IPA and pub food done right. Last, but not least, the place cares about Covid cleanliness and has sanitized outdoor seating.

This restaurant was highly recommended to me by many people and it didn’t disappoint! The food was delicious and it feature many seasonal veggies. The beer selection was also wonderful. Our server was kind, attentive and personable. Free State is a must visit!

Great steak. No need for sauce. Tender and delicious. The vegetable medley was flavored perfectly but just a tad too salty. The coleslaw is mayonnaise based and also a great side for the steak
