A great place with delicious food and excellent service. It can be a bit of a wait, especially on weekends, but it is well worth it. And since it's located right on Mass. Street you can window-shop while you wait. I recommend the fried steak (get the ½ plate).
First time there today. Oh my goodness! My cheeseburger with added bacon was out of this world! Even the bun was delicious. And to top it off I took home a piece of chocolate pie that was fantastic! Great place to go!
Arrived around 1145am and it was packed!! Hubby and I were worried about time because we had an appointment to get to. However we were seated quickly and explained we were in a bit of a rush. They pushed our order out very quickly!
Maybe a bit too quickly as the pancakes were not cooked all the way through. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and insisted on having the chefs make us a new one so it didn't ruin our experience. When we got another pancake it was the same story, the pancake was not cooked thoroughly. Again our waitress was absolutely incredible!! She made sure to have a conversation with the chefs and the owner and took the pancakes off our bill. With several apologies. Even tho it wasn't cooked, the flavor was great!!
We also snagged several slices of pie which were amazing!!
I will definitely be back and recommending this place to everyone I know!!
We took our family of 8 for lunchtime on a Saturday. It took a while to get our large groups sat. I would recommend parties of 4 &under. The space reminded me of a 50's/60's diner. The decorations were spot on. The food was Great. I had the chicken fried steak, you can't go wrong it. The coffee was good and hot. The only drawback was the side booths had seats under the dripping A/C ducts that kept us nice and cool by Intermittent spritzed from above. Though, come to think of it it was 100% humidity and 90° outside, so maybe it wasn't a negative.
We were seated pretty quickly at the bar on a Saturday morning, and waited on promptly!
I got the potato hash, and they fried it up with some golden beets and served it with this wonderfully savory green tomatillo sauce. My husband got the Dakota Texan and we ordered a side of cheesy grits. Everything was SO delicious and flavorful, and we look forward to more weekend brunch dates here ❤️
