We sat outside. Had a wonderful time just being out. Food was great as always. Plus service was the best.
The food and service were both fantastic. I had the salmon with asparagus and potatoes and my partner had lobster. Fresh biscuits and herb butter were brought to our table. Restrooms were clean, but out of towels. The two of us were sat at a quite large tall table in the middle of the room which was a bit awkward. Other than that, great experience. I love Bristols food and especially the sirloin during restaurant week. I had an issue with my meal this time and the amazing manager, Zara, went out of her way to make it right and was very friendly. That made a huge difference in my experience and I will continue to return to the downtown location because of it.
To be honest, I was not overly impressed with the food or service. We went around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. It was fairly quiet. The waitress was ok but not very friendly. We asked a question about something on the menu and she gave a curt response. I ordered a cup of lobster bisque and a beet salad. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos. His meal was good. The lobster bisque was very watery and had no lobster in it at all. The beet salad was quite small with little to no flavor. The ambience felt a little dark and stuffy. There is no need for us to return any time in the near future. Disappointed
Response to Phil: Phil, I appreciate you taking the time to reach out regarding my 3-star review. I generally do not leave marginal reviews, however the last two or three times we've been to Bristol, the items we have ordered have been average at best, low on seafood meat, and generally bland. Even her crab legs were not a knock-out. Bristol has been our go-to place for special annual celebrations for years, but with the prices that we now feel are high for the quality of food we have received, we're considering finding a new place for our really special outings.
Would you still like a call?
Update - I did receive a generous gift certificate from Phil, one of the restaurant managers I am planning on returning for dinner at Bristol Seafood Grill this Friday!
Have never had a bad meal at either Bristol location we've patronized. The food and service are always top notch (thank you, Todd). Our booth was a little small and tight. That is only drawback. We were celebrating an anniversary and delighted by the complimentary champagne toast. Warning: the Bristol Biscuit is amazing bit don't fill up on them because your meal will be even better!
