“Kansas City has so many BBQ places and Meat Mitch is now officially on my list of good ones! The ambiance is great and the staff was beyond friendly. Plus, they were fully staffed; which is a luxury these days. We ordered the Pitmaster Platter so we could sample several things. The portions were exactly what I expected for $42. The menu states it will feed two people, but we stretched it into 4 meals because we eat pretty light. If we had been super hungry, it probably would have been 2-3 meals. They also have several $6 apps during happy hour; which are nice portion sizes. The meat: The ribs and brisket were great. The burnt ends, sausage and pulled pork were all good. As I’m writing this review, I just realized our platter was supposed to have smoked turkey, but it didn’t. To be fair, I’m just realizing this and I’m confident if we had asked our waiter at the time of our meal, they would have brought out the missing turkey. The sides: I really enjoyed the sides. They had a great variety to choose from. We went with the cheesy corn bake, broccoli slaw and fries and alm were excellent. While the meat was great, I will return again just for the sides. They were fantastic! The sauce: The sauce variety was one of my favorite parts of our dining experience at Meat Mitch. They had six different sauces to choose from; including a white sauce and a mustard sauce. Those were both good and it’s nice to see them in KC, but favorite was the char bar table sauce. Soooooo good! The environment: The outdoor seating is excellent. Not only is there ample space on the shady patio, but they have fun turf lawns with corn hole games set up. This would be the perfect summer happy hour location. The indoor seating was also abundant, clean and had a variety of table styles - high tops, low tops, booth and bar seating. They even had some cute cow print stools, but my husband requested I sit in a real chair for dinner, so I can’t attest to their comfort level. I’m my original review, I knocked off one star because of the clunkiness of ordering food and drinks separately. They have changed this and it’s now simple and streamlined. You order everything from your server at your table. Overall, we’ll definitely be back. We saw them deliver the Cheesy Hog Fries to several tables and now we need to try them. ***update: we had the Cheesy Hog Fries and they were delicious!*** And, I still need to try that smoked Turkey. ;)”

“Overall the food was as to be expected from a KC steakhouse. All of us except my wife had a cup of clam chowder which was amazing. We shared an out-of-shell oyster which was not very good. The only thing we did not like. My dad and I each had the cowboy steak which was cooked perfectly with the cheesy potato side also good. My wife had the salmon and mixed vegetables with a side of asparagus and my mom had the sea bass with a side of mixed vegetables. The service was a bit slow but mainly because they were short-handed. Our server Kelly was awesome and has been with the company for 26 years. Highly recommend her. Overall I would come back. Next time we come I'll get the meal for two where you can choose a three or 4-course meal. The total bill was only $247”

“I recently celebrated my son’s 1st birthday party. The theme was sports—“1st Year Down”. Bianca and her team were so sweet! From the very beginning, I was walked through the booking process, in constant communication to ensure that my needs were met, and not to mention I had assistance setting up and cleaning up the day of the event. I was running late and overwhelmed, but as soon at I arrived I was met at the door with help. I could not have asked for a better location and team to help me celebrate such a major moment. I cannot recommend Inspired Play Cafe enough. Our family and friends had such a great time! Not to mention it is SO kid friendly, even for babies. Great energy and positive vibes! Truly one of a kind.”

“First time here. Was suggested to my wife from a friend. We both made a mistake and went super hungry lol. Our Bill $76. Food- I got what I always get when I try a new taco restaurant, Taco Salad with a side of rice and some street corn on the cob. That corn was the bomb, and the seasons they put on it made it even better. Next time ill just order the corn and plenty of margaritas. I don't remember what my wife had got but she said she liked it but wasn't to crazy about the shell/breading. Drinks-.We also ordered the top flight with 6 rounds of margaritas, I don't remember all of what we got but I honestly liked them all, but my wife liked all but one, and it was the milky one. The drinks didn't seem to have much alcohol in them especially for 6 drinks. Also, they were much smaller than expected. The restaurant was larger than expected and our server was top notched, he was on top of everything. Our food came out very quick (maybe within 15 minutes). Our drinks and margaritas came out within a few minutes of placing the order. The restaurant was nice and bright and had some pretty good decorations on the wall and ceiling according to my wife. We both didn't finish all our food (which I normally do) and got to go boxes.”

“Ordered online and there was an issue with the online order service, so we ended up waiting for a long time for our food. The customer service, however, helped make up for the time. Josh was awesome and helped make our wait time a positive experience. He had energy, provided water, and offered seating as well. He and Aaron were frequently checking on our order and tried to make the process go as quickly as possible. The Shrimp and Lobster fettuccine was worth the wait!”

“Had dinner twice here - and it is outstanding. The decor is nice, the service is very personable - but it's the food that has us saying Wow! Every dish is packed with flavor. It's a little more expensive than other Asian restaurants but totally worth it. BTW, the food tends to be a little spicy - a 'medium' dish here is closer to 'hot' at other restaurants. Can't wait to be back for all those tongue-tingling flavors!”

“I came back home from Oregon wanting to honor my parents and decided on a great meal. Settling on 801 Chophouse I was so impressed with the way the restaurant took care of my folks, daughter and myself I was obligated to write this review. From the initial contact at the door to the eventual table meet by the GM I was happy I was there. Our server Rob presented an incredible dining experience from start to finish. When you love where you came from and your parents it’s so nice to have a partner working for you to accomplish the goal of a genuine extravagant experience because the memories are golden. This was the very best meal I have ever shared with my family over all these years. Rob and staff made this happen and the food was unbelievable. We asked for his guidance in choices and he delivered. This brought us closer together and when you live so far apart that means everything. Please take your parents to a nice dinner at 801 Chophouse and request Rob and let him take care of you. My mom actually said it was the best meal of her life and that’s exactly what I was aiming for.”

It's a little more than average price for beer but I don't drink much. Burger is always good and the onion rings and fries are good. My only complaint is price here. For 2 people eating burger and fries, it'll be around $30+. Though I still visit occasionally, I'd visit more if it wasn't for price. Would recommend it though if you can get past the sticker shock.”

“I was impressed upon entering this establishment by jovial yet relaxed atmosphere. The fixtures and furniture were clean and shiny. The staff addressed customers as they entered and followed up with enthusiasm and pride. My food was hot and delicious. I received a healthy serving of both cottage pie and fish pie. I rounded off my order with apple pie which was unexpectedly well crafted, pleasant to the eye and undeniably rich in ingredients. The prices were slightly elevated, considering it is basically a pub. Overall, I was pleased with the service, comestibles, and the fun decor!”
