Firehouse Subs Glenwood Commons

Their subs are delicious but this particular location is *so* slow. I wouldn't even normally write a review, especially a negative one, but man. They are seriously the slowest sandwich place around (10+ mins each time, come on!) which is crazy, because you don't imagine a Firehouse as a slow paced place.

I really enjoyed my first visit to this Kansas City location. Right away, the decor drew me in, and the dinning area was immaculate. Sandwiches were awesome, I had the hook and ladder while my friend had the steamer. Both had great whole wheat bread, and the hook and ladder sandwich had a really nice sauce with it. However, there was a super fun, hot sauce open bar so you can add your own twist! Staff was professional, service was fast, and I liked that a staff member came to our table to ask how our meal tasted. Great selection of items plus soup and salad. We spent $14 on sandwiches and drinks. One important difference here, they are a Community Contributor, which I liked. Check it out!
