Great family owned Greek cuisine I should have gone back sooner! Hummus is great, I get the village salad (Greek salad no lettuce w tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, onions & olives w Greek dressing w pita bread) SO GOOD! Light but filling ????. Please support your local restaurants as they still struggle bc of the virus.
After moving to Kansas, we were a bit unimpressed with the Greek restaurant options in Johnson County. Until now. The food at Greek Cuisine is legit. Delicious hummus, lamb, pita and the phyllo cheese/egg is amazing! Their is very little ambiance in this small restaurant but the food more than makes up for it. I would recommend takeout and a bottle of wine at home! Oh....and the owner is such a sweet, nice man!! Please support this business. It would break my heart if JoCo lost this gem!!
Ordered the chicken souvlaki and small salad. It was really good. I did have to go back after I left because the feta was left off my souvlaki, I was then told it doesn't go well with chicken so they only put it on the beef, but the menu doesn't indicate this. My only complaint would be that the menu should be clear so customers don't have to return to get the feta on the side. The staff was friendly and my order was ready quickly.
I can't rave enough about this little hole-in-the-wall eatery!
We happened upon it while living in Greenwood Mo. and it became our go-to spot when craving Mediterranean and now living 1000 miles away, when we get back to visit we always make a stop in and order at least 2#'s of Gyro meat, humus and pita.
The owners always remember us too, and the last time we were back it had been 5 years or better.
The humus is the best ever, and their Tzatziki sauce is second to none.
The image is my plated version after a long 5yr. wait!
If I over look the fact that my entire meal was warmed up in the microwave...it was decent. But as you know things just aren't the same when they're not freshly cooked. The staff was pleasant, the setting was okay, the service was quick (again due 'High 3 minutes, DONE', dinner is served. Probably won't be back.
