Amazing food, great service and friendly staff. Really big portion size. Hot sauce was delicious. Probably the only Indonesian restaurant in town. Can’t wait to go back.
We've been 3 or 4 times now and everything has been excellent and the staff are very helpful. We especially like the egg wraps, vegetable fritters, mie goreng with shrimp, chicken satay, and the rendang with beef, but everything we've tried has been delicious!
Clean atmosphere and beautiful decor. That being said the food is delicious. I’ve never had Indonesian food before so I didn’t know what to expect but I’m glad I went in without expecting anything that way my brain enjoyed the food without comparing it to other types of food. They serve zabiha halal meat. Everything is halal except the giant turkey leg.
I had randang, their signature dish. While the gravy was superb and the beef cubes were tender as advertised, you only got 5 cubes for $17 and they were dry inside suggesting the meat was insufficiently marbled.
I had the potato croquettes and appetizer. They were stuffed with ground beef and had an interesting flavor profile, but they were a bit bland and in need of a dipping sauce. To their credit, they do provide a dipping sauce, but is was irresponsibly hot. The croquettes were $8.00.
I highly recommend SpicyOne! Indonesian cuisine is so hard to find but so, so worth it when you do. The food is delicious and the owner was incredibly hospitable and friendly. I will certainly be back to work my way through their expansive menu.
