Island Spice Jamaican Restaurant

The atmosphere is okay with good music playing in the background and a stage up front so they must have live music once in a while. We had the "festival" appetizer that was a type of fried bread. It was great warm and just a bit sweet. For the main course, we had the jerk pork, fries and cabbage. The meat was outstanding. Just a bit of spice, tender and great flavor. The cabbage was unlike any I have ever had with other veggies in with crunchy cabbage. The only down side was the service which was very slow! The food more than made up for it and quickly made us forget how slow the service was.

I'm already planning on what to order next week! If that's not an endorsement, what is? Delicious food, large portions, and reasonably priced: the Holy Trinity of restaurants. You come to expect good Korean food around Army installations, but having a solid Jamaican option...in Leavenworth, KS no less, is outstanding!

We received a warm greeting upon entering, paused for a moment, then realized we could seat ourselves. Shortly, The server brought menus and glasses of water. Our food arrived approximately 15 minutes after the order was placed... it was delicious! Oxtails, jerk chicken, fish, steamed cabbage, red beans/rice and plantains... hungry yet? Lol.

I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. The overall customer service and dining experience were great. The facility is clean, the atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is properly attentive.

I love the atmosphere, music is soothing, gives you that island feel. Staff was very friendly, owner came out and welcomed us, asked how the food was. Portions were great. We had Jerk Pork, Jerk Burger, and Curry goat. My favorite was the Jerk Pork!! Soo good! Thank you for a lovely experience!

Delicious food, fair prices. Service was slow but friendly. The Jerk Pork was phenomenal!
